Our Story
Kharag Edition was born out of a simple frustration: there were almost no modern digital tools for the Tibetan language. No good keyboards. No reliable dictionaries. No AI that understood Tibetan culture.
So we built them — starting with a Tibetan keyboard and dictionary, then expanding to a prayer app, calendar, and AI chatbot. Every tool we build is free, because we believe digital access to Tibetan language and culture should not have a price tag.
The project is led by Kunchok Tashi (CodingWithTashi), a Tibetan developer passionate about using technology to preserve culture. We are a small team but growing, backed by a generous open-source community.
Everything we build is open source and available on GitHub. Contributions are welcome.
